GLUG GLUG is the Eye Eaters wine club! Every once in a while we invite someone who knows a lot about wine to teach us about this sweet, sweet nectar. We're excited to learn the ins and outs, as we work towards our ultimate goal—attaining status as “houseguest who brings the most interesting bottle and knowledge” at our next dinner party!

For this Glug Glug gathering at 1340 Beer Wine Spirits, guests are asked to wear black head to toe (no logos please).

ABOUT DERRICK WESTBROOK

1340 Wine Spirits is a wine shop and bar in the West Loop with Derrick Westbrook at the helm. Derrick is a certified sommelier and Wine Enthusiast Magazine's '40 under 40,' 2018 Cover Model, as well as the former beverage director of the Michelin Starred Elizabeth Restaurant. The shops carries an ever evolving selection of wines from around the globe alongside local craft beer and spirits with a few worldly selections sprinkled in. 

 

EAST MEETS MIDWEST

Join the Eye Eaters Society our wine club, Glug Glug, on Monday, October 7 at 7pm. We'll explore East meets Midwest, wines from Southeastern Europe with Sommelier Derrick Westbrook of 1340 Beer Wine Spirits. Bring a block of cheese to share with the group and we'll provide the accoutrements.

 

1340 Beer Wine Spirits at 1340 West Madison Street. Come prepared with all your wine questions and to get a little weird.

FINE PRINT

  • Included in the ticket price are three large samples of Southeastern European wine, cheese accoutrements and a wine lesson.

  • Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred

  • Tickets are inclusive of tax and service
